Paul Chin is a lifelong student, lover, and explorer of music, which manifests itself in his work as a music producer and DJ.

Creating from West Chinatown in Toronto, Paul spends his days producing meditations on joy, sorrow, and humanity to be experienced at the altars of the club. Drawing from a globally-aware upbringing in the Cayman Islands, and an innate curiosity about the world outside, his writing and production reflect the ways his study of musical styles and traditions have cemented his unique sonic voice. Likewise, his DJ sets boast a controlled undercurrent of chaos as the open-format selector conducts a radically diverse taste in and collection of music like an orchestra.

His 2020 EP Full Spectrum, despite being faced with the challenges of a global pandemic, was released to critical acclaim, and galvanised a dedicated fanbase to fully crowdfund a deluxe vinyl edition the following year. Since then, he’s harnessed that momentum to tour with Shad, become an online folk hero amongst the BTS ARMY, and record with a few living legends, eventually culminating in his full-length debut album And Under Heaven We Are All Made of Water. The album features a global cast of features including Montreal turntablism luminary Kid Koala, LA R&B and vocal jazz scion Madison McFerrin, London grime phenomenon Manga Saint Hilare, and Tokyo beats/guitar savant Go Yama for a masterfully forged journey of processing emotions, by way of the dance floor.
